Working in CPSD

Working in Clover Park

Clover Park School District proudly serves the city of Lakewood and the Joint Base Lewis-McChord (JBLM) community. We are an inclusive, urban school district serving a diverse student population of nearly 13,000 students.

The district has 22 schools: 16 elementary schools, three middle schools, two comprehensive high schools, an International Baccalaureate (IB) secondary school and four special program schools. Six of our elementary schools are located on JBLM. Nearly one third of CPSD students are military connected, and we have received the Washington State Purple Star Award, which recognizes districts that address the specific educational and emotional needs of students in military families.

Our mission is to ensure each child learns what he or she needs to know to succeed and contribute to the community, and each staff member plays an important role in fulfilling that mission.

CPSD supports educators through mentoring and professional development opportunities. The Beginning Educator Support Team program provides a mentor for each first-year teacher.

Living in the Lakewood and JBLM area

CPSD neighbors Tacoma and is about 45 minutes south of Seattle. Lakewood is nestled between the Puget Sound and Cascade Mountains. The city offers an array of housing options, beautiful scenery and access to exciting experiences.[Text Wrapping Break][Text Wrapping Break]Joint Base Lewis-McChord is the Department of Defense’s premiere West coast military installation and is home to I Corps and the 62nd Airlift Wing.
