Resolve an Issue

Resolve an Issue Page

We are dedicated to providing transparent two-way communication regarding your student’s education. Typically, questions or concerns can be handled at the classroom or school level. Please follow these steps to address questions or concerns.

1.  Teacher

Your child’s teacher is your primary contact to support their education. If you have a question related to your child’s learning, please contact your child’s teacher directly through Skyward, by phone or by Email.

If an issue has not been resolved at the classroom level move to step 2.

2.  Principal

Your school principal is your second point of contact if you have questions about your child's education or an issue that has not been resolved with your child's teacher. Call the school to speak or meet with your child's principal or email your principal directly.

If the issue has not been resolved at your school, move to step 3.

3.  District Administrator

The district administrator who oversees the area of your concern can help resolve your issue at the district level:

Elementary Education  253-583-5160

Secondary Education  253-583-5165

Special Education  253-583-5170

Transportation 253-583-5494

You can also contact the district ombuds who serves as a neutral party to resolve issues, 253-583-5154.

If the issue has not been resolved at the district administrative level, move to step 4.

4.  Superintendent

Superintendent Banner oversees all of CPSD. Only after all previous steps have been completed to resolve a concern should you contact the superintendent, superintendent@cloverpark.kl2.wa.us. The superintendent or designee will follow board policies and procedures to resolve your concern.

If the issue has not been resolved at the superintendent level, move to step 5.

5.  School Board

The Board of Directors (aka school board) is an elected governing board responsible for oversight of the school district. If you are unable to resolve a concern through the previous steps, it is then appropriate to contact the Board of Directors.
